The Question of Love
Is it just because I love you that
you’re on my mind each day?
Is it just, because I love you
that my mind envisions your image,
while I’m with you, or far away?
Is it just because I love you
that I sense your loving presence
in the peaceful moments of every day?
Or, is it just because you love me
with a love you give so faithfully;
a compassion you give so tenderly,
a care you give so tirelessly…
that my soul is bound eternally?
I realize that a life filled with your love
is more precious than any gift from above;
to this gift, my love, I will always be true,
faithful, committed and dedicated to you.
